The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a gripping narrative including angels, demons, and sinister influences expanding in power within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to undertake their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

With 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then settled his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a hostile environment.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the party access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, Teor swore a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and Wicander defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Explorers and Schemers tables.

Audiences can expect discovering which characters will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on October 24.
